In an ongoing testament to the generous spirit of the people that make up our local music scene, the number of benefit shows devoted to Mike Marchant, one of our town's prized songwriters, who was recently diagnosed with lymphoma and is in the midst of undergoing chemotherapy, continues to grow.

While there have already been a number of shows organized on Mike's behalf -- the most recent of which took place last week at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret -- we've just received word about a couple of others in the next month at 3 Kings Tavern (on Thursday, March 21, and Thursday, March 28) and the hi-dive (Mike Fest 2013 on Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13). The lineup for that last one will be announced soon, and when it is, we'll fill you in.
