Back with another edition of In the Mix, where we spotlight new dance tracks and mixes from local producers and DJs. This week with a couple fresh remixes from some familiar faces in Denver's dance music scene, along with a couple grimy originals, one from Roots Mass, a member of the Mile High Sound Movement crew out of Fort Collins, and one from Lotus Drops, a Sub.mission resident and dubstep diva we're totally excited about. Continue on to get the drop.

Mikey Thunder - "Just a Friend" (remix)
We always love a good remix, and Mikey Thunder comes correct with this updated take on Biz Markie's late-'80s comedic classic about relationships. Mikey Thunder can pretty much do no wrong when it comes to style, and it's hard not to appreciate anything he lays his hands, particularly when hip-hop is involved. So this "Just a Friend" touch-up really just whets the appetite of what's to come this year.

Lotus Drops - "We Out Here" feat. Cloud-D
Lotus Drops, a Sub.mission resident, brings a heavy, dark track that allows for some of Cloud-D's production to shine through in between the grime. Having played shows all around town, Lotus Drops proves that if the gloves need to come off, she can hold her own on the decks. It will be exciting to see what else she puts out, and where else she appears.
