Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros fire singer, melt down on social media

Categories: Music News

The couple started the band together and spent "five years on mushrooms" as Jade once said in describing their song duet song "home." The two broke up some time after the band started.

Ebert has a young daughter "Eartha" with his now-girlfriend.

Shorty after the band post, Ebert also posted on his own public page: "Only we must now explain that simply and sadly, we did not feel right doing this tour with Jade. That fact breaks my heart in ways I don't want to describe." That has also been deleted.

There is no further information as to why Jade was fired from the band, but fans have expressed plenty of concern about the change in the live performance without Jade on stage.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will play in Telluride on June 12 and 13 without their front woman.

Do they not have a manager or publicist to wrangle them in? They're big enough that they shouldn't be making media mistakes like this, and that includes social media.

Haha they won't get far after this. It made the band and now... Nothing. Bye! It's one thing to get rid of someone you started your band with but abruptly before a show while on tour? What issue was that bad they did that? Couldn't have waited until idk next album (how presumptuous of me). Makes them look bad and I most likely won't listen to them after this if they even survive which I doubt. It appears the hippie shtick will be up soon

Who cares? They're such a banwagon band. The guy started with an electronic band when that was popular in the early 2000s then jumped on the hippie folk train. Laaaame.

Jade was long ago a dear friend of mine, even saving my life, metaphorically. We lost touch over the years, but when I first heard home and shared the news with recently passed away family back then, we were ecstatic. This news breaks my heart, but hopefully its for the best. Don't let the bastards get you down, girl.

And the death of an amazing band is beginning. So sad. I'll be playing HOME on repeat.

Agreed, this band is a bunch of pretentious hippie ass holes who continuously start their shows late and give half-assed performances. (i.e. Jas Aspen festival, 2013)
