A new music festival called Chive Fest is coming to Denver this August, and the lineup is no small affair. It features Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Cold War Kids, Talib Kweli and more. The full roster is below.

The festival is a collaboration between photo website The Chive and C3 Presents -- the company that produces Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza and a few other music festivals around the country.

Denver's Chive Fest will take place in a little over a month on August 16, from noon to 10 p.m. in City Park. There will be two stages and the promised amenities include, "Nostalgia Tent (life-sized game of Operation anybody?), oversized ostriches, blimps, fireworks, cats, Chivettes, and enough glowing green to make Denver Chive Fest visible from space." Tickets are on sale now for $70.

Chive Fest debuted earlier this year in Chicago, and Seattle and Dallas dates have also been announced.

The only good thing about this line up is Steel Panther, no way I'm paying $70 just for them.

Seriously? Maybe if it was thirty dollars cheaper. I hope no one shows up and they realize what a ridiculous price that is.

A word to the wise: New West Fest is going on in Fort Collins at the same time, has a better line-up, and is FREE. I live two blocks from City Park and I'm calling shenanigans on this over-priced, over-rated bands bullshit!

What is up with these expensive PRIVATE concerts in our PUBLIC parks? Aren't the city's parks suppose to be for all citizens to enjoy?

What Ashley said. Talib is awesome. Might go for him alone, but Edward sharpe as a headliner is a joke without Jade.
