Radiohead's show this past March at 1STBANK Center is one of 2012's thirty best concerts.

While 2012 will be remembered as the year that Red Rocks hosted the most shows in its history, it's also going to go down as one of the best years for concerts in Colorado in general. As we reflected on all the incredible shows we took in this past year, there were an astounding number of what we'd consider must-see shows. Out of all the shows we reviewed, we've somehow managed to narrow it down to the thirty best concerts of 2012. Keep reading to see which ones we picked, and as always, feel free to weigh in if you think we left out one of your favorite shows.

Public Enemy at the Ogden Theatre was one of the twenty best hip-hop shows.

As much of a stronghold as our town is for EDM, Denver is also a hotbed of hip-hop. Although we've always held true to the assertion, and such a declaration would seem perfectly reasonable to even casual observers, the point was never driven home more definitively than when we took a look back at the number of acts that came through town in 2012. While it was a daunting task, we paged through all of our write-ups over the past year and singled out the twenty best hip-hop shows. Keep reading to see which ones we picked, and, as always, feel free to add to the discussion below if you think we left something out.

Well before the rise of electronic dance music in the mainstream, Colorado has always been a strong hold for EDM. This past year we saw more acts than ever come through town, including a record number of which that performed at Red Rocks. We were on hand for most of them, and below we've compiled a list of the ten best EDM shows of the year. Keep reading to see which ones we picked, and as always, if you disagree, feel free to tell us and then weigh in with some picks of your own.

The Best Music of 2012: "Everybody's Brother," by Cody ChesnuTT, is disarmingly honest

Okay it's that time again -- time for us to start reflecting on our favorite albums of the year. Hey, if the radio can get away with playing round-the-clock Christmas songs already, I think we can all justifiably start comparing notes about the year's best music, right? As we start pulling together our year-end lists over the course of the next month or so, we'll be weighing in periodically on the tracks and albums that have truly stood out to us this year, beginning with songs like "Everybody's Brother," by Cody ChesnuTT, from Landing On a Hundred, ChesnuTT's new Kickstarter-funded album.
