Le Divorce begins search for new rhythm section

Looks like it's going to be a minute before Le Divorce gigs again. Earlier this week, the outfit, led by Kitty Vincent, shared word that bassist Ryan Stubbs was leaving the fold for a job opportunity in Washington D.C., and that drummer Chris Durant was also parting ways with the act to pursue a different direction musically. Vincent and the quartet's other remaining member, guitarist/vocalist Joe Grobelny, assure fans that they'll be back in action once a new rhythm section is in place, and that the search is already underway. Good luck on the hunt!

Love.45 in search of new bassist to replace Danny Elster

Categories: Casting Call

Just received word that Danny Elster, longtime bassist and co-frontman of Love.45, a modern rock act that made considerable waves in the mid-'00s (how weird does that look?), recently parted ways with the group, which is now in the hunt for someone new to hold down the low end.

The exodus of Elster, who reportedly split with the group for personal reasons, comes on the heels of guitarist Paul Trinidad's departure, who left the act himself last year. His replacement, Jeff Beaird, and the other remaining members, frontman/guitarist Mick Shivers and drummer Jim Messina, plan to continue. As of now, the players are unsure whether they'll retain the Love.45 moniker or rechristen the band. Interested in joining the band? Feel free to get in touch with Shivers. Hold on, though, before you click on that link, from the looks for their requirements (posted after the jump), you better make sure you have your shit together first.

Play fast? Love dragons? Zack wants to talk, shred

Categories: Casting Call

If you like playing in "the realm of 32nd notes" in time signatures such as "13/16 and 5/8" and have a great love for all things Dungeons & Dragons when it comes to lyrics, get thee to Lakewood, where "Zack" awaits you as his musical soulmate. Also, you should not be a druggie, since Zack's songs require "110% of your focused attention," which druggies clearly can't offer. You also won't be able to check out his tunes on MySpace, since he plays "faster than the resolution of their audio capabilities allows for." which is pretty impressive... Is he joking? Is he for real? Is he a chubby dude in a Dragonforce T-shirt living in his mom's basement? Will he ask you to pull a guitar out of a stone as part of the audition process? If you've got the chops to confirm or deny, respond to his ad here, and let us know what you find out... or just read the full, hilarious text of the ad after the jump and leave a response in the comments.

Immortal Dominion seeking new timekeeper

Categories: Casting Call
0416_immortal.jpg
Just received word that Immortal Dominion, the subject of a recent extended Q&A, has begun the search for a new drummer. Evidently, at the behest of Sterling Winfield, the producer of Primortal, the band's latest platter, the outfit enlisted a studio drummer named Matt Thompson for the sessions. From the sounds of it, this move didn't sit too well with Ben Huntwork, Immortal's timekeeper for the past fifteen years, as he's since opted to part ways with the group. Which means the group is now looking for a well rounded skinsman to fill his slot. Got the chops? Drop guitarist/vocalist Brian Villers a line.

Ah, what is it about the changing of the seasons that brings changes in lineups? One of the more compelling hard rock bands on the front range, Circle # Dot, fronted by former drummer turned frontman Matt Card, is seeking a bass player. If you like bands like Clutch and High on Fire and happen to play the bass, then this very well may be your next band.
