DJ Rufio gets his guerrilla groove on at Red Rocks

The parking lot is a perfect place to mingle and get your pre-game on before a show, particularly at Red Rocks. But Brandon Chavez is taking tailgaiting to another level. At select EDM shows, you can find Chavez, aka DJ Rufio, and his crew of party people gathered around a red truck in the lower south lot getting down.

"I just thought it would be cool to come out early and get a nice little party going before going into the show," says Chavez. "So I made sure to be one of the first people at the lot. I was one of the first people parked in the lot and just brought my turntables and a speaker."

The fashionistas of Ultra Music Festival 2013

031813_pikachu-001.JPG

This past weekend at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, there were some folks that were better dressed, and others more sensibly garbed, but the following fashionistas spotted during night one of this year's three-day shit fest were the ones that stood out to us the most. These bass junkies in tutus, dead starfish, Pokémon body suits and Halloween costumes offered words of fashion advice and reflection.

Damn, Ultra Music Festival is a mad house. Everywhere you look, it's neon titties, the bottom half of asses or some kind of sexy rabbit hoppin' around with a lollipop in her cheek. Only a special kind of woman can brave the downtown Miami masses for three days, and maybe even six. It takes guts, chutzpah, but not a whole lot of clothing. Here are some of the ladies spotted at this year's Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

Gay, straight, bi or simply rolling face, if you're a man with abs like Jesus and just enough fabric to cover your genitals, there was nothing wrong with showing off your manhood in Miami this past weekend. It's Ultra Music Festival, baby! And the Gym, Tan, Molly fraternal order of male ravers are loud, proud and hanging 'round in their Diesel underpants, Umbro soccer shorts and furry boots. Here are the top ten nearly naked raver bros spotted at Ultra 2013.

Ten songs Rockies first baseman Todd Helton could use for his walk-on music this season

Categories: Fandemonium, Lists

021413_helton-009.jpg
Pitchers and catchers reported this week. You know what that means, right? Yeah, probably nothing. We're not going to get our hopes up here. I mean, aside from our new skipper, Walt Weiss, a beloved former Rockies shortstop, there's really no reason to believe this season will be any less agonizing than last year. Who knows, though? Maybe Weiss and company will actually give us something to cheer for. We'll see. Time will tell.

In the meantime, let's occupy ourselves with more pressing matters, shall we, like, say, figuring out what the walk-on music for a certain recently-arrested first baseman should be this year. Given Todd Helton's noted proclivity for country music -- last season, his song was "Springsteen" by Eric Church, and the year before that, it was the now ironic "My Kinda Party" by Jason Aldean with the line, "Well if you wanna drink/Go on baby, just do your thing/But give up your keys" -- whatever tune he picks, you can bet it will have some twang. Keep reading for our suggestions.
