It is not yet noon, and already we're thinking about escaping for the day. But not just escaping from the office -- escaping to a very specific spot, our go-to spot when we know we want to meet friends, and don't want to bother negotiating where that meet might be. That's when we go to Racines. And we're not the only ones: The entire city seems to use this restaurant as a go-to spot.
Morning, noon and night, Racines offers a menu with something for everyone, which is one of the reasons it's such a popular fallback choice. (We're already dreaming of that big platter of nachos.) But Racines also has plenty of comfortable seating -- at the bar, in the dining areas, in those cushioned back booths...and on the patio, where you have a perfect view of the world passing by.
Right before the world turns and comes to Racines.

Of course, what you say is true. But if Al Qaeda could be commissioned to do good, I would hire them to blow up Racine's.
If Racine's didn't exist, Denver's homosexuals would be forced to patronize other restaurants. Although the gays' dogged loyalty to this place suggests that my people have poorer taste than stereotypes suggest, I would like to believe that the money this place rakes in could support half a dozen other restaurants in town, all of them likely to surpass the bland mediocrity Denver seems to love so much.
