Get ready for the Tavern Wash Park

Categories: The Dish

The previous occupant of 1066 South Gaylord, Chi Bistro, was one of Jason Sheehan's most hated restaurants, as is evident from this review.

But everyone -- parking-paranoid Wash Park residents included -- should be pleased by the place that will be opening in that spot on Monday, October 27. It's the Tavern Wash Park, the fifth in a string of local Taverns brought to us by Frank Schultz (who also owns the Cowboy Lounge and the Soiled Dove). His bars have been good neighbors in their other locations -- Downtown (in the original Soiled Dove location), Uptown, the Tech Center and Lowry -- and the Wash Park model promises the same upscale atmosphere and tavern food, seven days a week.
