Otto's American Grill now open in Parker

Parker just got a new neighborhood hang-out, with the September 22 opening of Otto's American Grill at 18366 East Lincoln, in the old Pasta Bella location.

Otto's was opened by John Davis, a restaurateur who had a variety of spots in Phoenix before setting down roots in the Denver area. The menu reflects classic American favorites -- burgers, pizzas, soups and salads; fresh fries, onion rings and kettle chips. And customers are likely to favor Davis's prices too: you can get a third-pound certified Angus burger for just $4.95, and up it to a half-pound of beef for a buck more.

When our Toastmaster's group found themselves suddenly without a place to meet, Otto's Mindy came to the rescue. She was incredibly gracious in offering the space to the west of the grill as a meeting room. It is very nice and many of us ordered as we meet around lunch time (Lunch Out Loud is the name of our group). The chinese chicken salad was excellent, even better than their Biltmore salad which is quite tasty too. I will always recommend Otto's not only as a great Parker option for dining but also because of their support of the community.
Just went to the Otto's on Yosemite in Englewood near the Tech Center. The lady taking our order was probably the most unfriendly person I have ever encountered while eating out. (Plus we get chastized for asking about Rodney's. Her reply was it hasn't been Rodney's in over a year - really? Why did they file for their liquor permit in May 2008? I guess she thinks we are all stupid.) Especially when my dining buddies and I use to go there every week!!! Food was horrible. My hickory burger was terrible. Bacon was barely cooked, burger was browned on the outside and the inside was close to raw, bun was stale, tomatoes were mushy. Fries were browned but cool inside. Atmosphere is gone compared to Rodney's. There were a total of 6 people in the restaurant when we were there at 11:30. High schoolers don't even come any more probably due to the cold treatment they get from the unfriendly cashier (see above).
I have been to OTTO'S many times and enjoyed it every time! Try it, You'll like it!
After reading about Otto's American Grill in the Sunday paper, Feb 8th, my husband & I decided to try your restuarant. When we walked into the grill, we did not expect to order at the counter, then given a number. We thought we would be shown to a table, & a waitress would come to take our order. Once we received our food, we each had a hamburger. Mine was just a hamburger & my husband's had blue cheese & other toppings. We found that the buns were very dry, almost stale, the pickles were not even a slice, it was like they were the bottom of the jar, & crushed. There was no lettuce, & only one (1) slice of tomato for a large hamburger. One good thing is that our meat was cooked medium, which we requested. We try to patronize our local restuarants, which seem to be closing at a rapid pace in the Parker area, due to our economy, but, we were disappointed. Maybe another visit will convince us that Otto's is not that bad after all, but, it will not be in the near future.
