Cafe Bisque now simply Bisque

Categories: The Dish

When Cafe Bisque opened at 224 Union Boulevard in Lakewood in 2003, Westword food reviewer Jason Sheehan was initially unimpressed with the confused New American menu, but after a return trip in October, he came to appreciate some of chef Alex Gurevich's menu items, most notably the rich, creamy lobster bisque.

Sheehan's latest trip was spurred by the announcement that the restaurant had recently added a Sunday brunch. And that's not the only change. In early November, not more than a month later, Gurevich also decided to change the name of the place, dropping the Cafe and becoming, simply, Bisque. The restaurant is also now serving breakfast, brunch and lunch every from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a 5 to 9 p.m. dinner service Tuesday through Saturday. -- Aubrey Shoe
