Jax Fish House Denver, whch netted a rave review from Jason Sheehan this fall, moved into the old Terminal Bar at 1539 17th Street back in 1996. And while Jax doesn't feature three happy hours, the way the Terminal once did, it is offering twelve days of specials that run through Tuesday, December 23, in honor of its twelfth birthday.

Today, the deal is eight ounces of peel-and-eat shrimp for $8; tomorrow it's seven wines by the glass for $7; on Saturday, $6 will snag you a pound of mussels; on Sunday, it's a plate of calamari for $5; on Monday, four local microbrews for $4; on Tuesday, $3 tequila, rum and vodka infusions. And through the celebration, Jax is offering a three-course, $36 prix fixe anniversary menu with roasted butternut squash bisque; fennel, goat cheese and cranberry root salad; and blackened Hawaiian blue marlin. You can also get a dozen oysters for $12, or two Ketel One martinis for twelve bucks.

Fishing for more information? You'll find it on Jax's website.
