A hot-pot start to the Chinese New Year

"We did hot pot," reports the temple's Happy Hsu, "which is similar to Japanese shabu-shabu. It was all vegetarian. We had almost 200 people; some were visitors...but mainly Buddhists were there."
Unfortunately, Hsu tells me that the temple doesn't have any other big plans for parties this year, so I guess I'll have to wait until 2010 to enjoy some hot pot in a Buddhist temple. Damn.
