Dixons Downtown Grill embraces hoop dreams

Beginning at 5 p.m. tonight, and continuing through Monday evening, when the Denver Nuggets take on the LA suckers Lakers at the Pepsi Center, Dixons Downtown Grill, the LoDo watering hole at 1610 16th Street, is offering a hoop of Nuggets-inspired dinner and drink specials to keep everyone in winning spirits.

Here's what's in the bucket:

"Birdman" hot wings: a dozen jerk-rubbed wings for $6.99
"Slay LA" filet: an 8-ounce filet mgnon with sweet potatoes and vegetables for $14.99
"Marsh Melo" s'mores: Housemade marshmallows and graham crackers for $4.99

And to drink: Mr. Big Shot (that's Chauncey Billups for those of you with your head caught in the net), a larger-than-normal shot concocted with Ketel One Citron vodka, lemonade, sweet & sour and blue curacao, for $5.
