Gelazzi's gelatinis are unwrapped tonight on the Food Network

Gelazzi gelato.jpg

Gelazzi, the gelateria at 1411 Larimer Street, with additional shops in Fort Collins and Highlands Ranch, is making its television debut tonight, June 8, at 7 p.m. on Food Network's Unwrapped, the popular show hosted by Marc Summers that explores America's most classic foods. (Think peanut butter, bubblegum and fried chicken.)

I have absolutely no clue what's American or classic about Gelazzi's alcohol-sodden gelatinis (gelato mixed with liquors and/or liqueurs), which are the highlight of tonight's episode, but if you watch the show, end up at Gelazzi after the show airs and can answer some random bonus question about what you've seen, you'll get an upgrade to a waffle cone or waffle bowl when you order a scoop of gelato, which is the classic American way of getting something for free...after first emptying your wallet.
