Where am I drinking?

• I'm out of town and don't have my notes with me about what, exactly, is in Steuben's Rock & Rye, but I will be writing about it for a future Drink of the week with Sean Kenyon's Steuben's version. The basic recipe is rye whiskey, rock candy, citrus fruits and horehound. The key is that it needs to sit and infuse for at least a week. Similar to authentic Southern Comfort (not the bottled kind but what they invented in New Orleans in the late 1800's), but completely different and more delicious.

• What's in it Nancy?

• Congratulations Work Hard Drink Harder! Well done. I thought that would take much longer for someone to figure out. For those of you who haven't had a Rock and Rye at Steuben's, you really should. It is my new favorite cocktail ever...for now.

• Steuben's...Rock and Rye. Hell yeah!

• How about a Last Word Cocktail (equal parts Gin, Maraschino liqueur, Chartreuse and lime juice)? Although I would serve it up.

• Lime Rickey (if you use Rum instead of Gin, it becomes a Lime Rickey Ricardo).

• Steph & A.D.- Well done. Of course it is Steuben's. And I took the garnish out to make it a little more challenging. Not a Pimm's Cup, Collins nor St. Germain of any kind. Keep trying!

• Definitely Steuben's. Not the right color for a Pimm's Cup. Not the right glass for a Collins. Maybe a St. Germain?

• Steuben's Is that a Tom Collins? (Really hard to tell w/o garnish. Could be a Pimm's cup?)
