"I seriously closed the restaurant because I was scared," joked Dianna Williams, co-owner of Diego Zhang's Burger Cafe, the mini-burger joint at 12073 East Arapahoe that yesterday unveiled a second outpost in Centennial, in the Streets of SouthGlenn at Arapahoe and University Boulevard.

"We had more than 200 people come through in an hour and it was like a rock concert with people charging us, so we had to close," she told me earlier today when I stopped in to check out the new space, which was bereft of bodies. "That's fine," Williams confessed. "I've never seen anything like that in my life and I've opened more than fifty restaurants. People were running through the dining room. Today I'm catching my breath."

Diego Zhang's is just one of several restaurants already open or opening soon in the Streets of SouthGlenn, which held its grand debut over the weekend.
