Tryst owner to open a sports bar, live music venue and gastropub in the former Alto space
"The location will host three 'themes' under one venue -- a sports bar/cocktail lounge called The Drink, a live music venue called Mix Music Lounge and a cozy restaurant called Downtown Gastropub," says Piciocchi, who hopes to have all three concepts open by the end of November.
"As we're still pre-construction, some of these details may change, so by the time November arrives, the theme may be adjusted slightly, but we are certainly moving in that direction at full speed," he adds.
When Downtown Gastropub opens, it'll join Denver's three other self-professed "gastropubs" -- Jonesy's EatBar, Argyll and Colt & Gray. "Gastropub" is a British term for a restaurant that combines a public house atmosphere with better-than-average pub grub and serious beer and wine lists. Or something like that.
