Jack-n-Grill now has a Jill

| The second outpost of Jack-n-Grill is now open at 2630 W. Belleview Ave. |
"We had a super soft opening on Monday and it went well," says Jack Martinez, referencing the second, much larger location of Jack-n-Grill that took up residence at 2630 West Belleview Avenue in the space that had previously housed the Santa Fe Tequila Company.
But while the kitchen is up and running, and the staff is serving the same menu as at the original Jack-n-Grill (2524 Federal Boulevard), the taps are dry, the beer cooler is empty and there's no wines to swill. For that, says Martinez, you can thank the Littleton liquor licensing agency. "Littleton bureaucracy is just killing me," he adds.
There's good news, though. Come November, when his liquor license
is in place, Martinez will be pouring more than a dozen beers, nearly
two dozen wines exclusive to New Mexico and the "Jacked-up" margarita,
32 ounces of "secret ingredients." But while the kitchen is up and running, and the staff is serving the same menu as at the original Jack-n-Grill (2524 Federal Boulevard), the taps are dry, the beer cooler is empty and there's no wines to swill. For that, says Martinez, you can thank the Littleton liquor licensing agency. "Littleton bureaucracy is just killing me," he adds.
And that's not all: In a few months, Martinez is going to add bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys and an all-you-can-eat New Mexican-style Sunday brunch buffet. In the meantime, you can grab a plateful of stacked enchiladas crowned with an egg, a bowl of pozole or the excellent barbecued beef tacos Sunday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, call 303-474-4242.
