Guess where I'm eating?

• @lori.. camera is on the way courtesy of your freindly neighborhood sicilian.. @funseeker.. yes, eating the pic would be the best meal served from marcos.. i would love westword to post a pic of a good pizza from one of the places above that jeff mentioned. see how the two look side by side.

• Hmmm--might as well eat the pic, since most posters agree its the only way you'll get that many toppings on the real deal. Just sayin'.

• From the picture, the pizza looks delicious. I'm usually a traditional red sauce pizza kinda guy, but this picture looks good enough to eat! When is brunch at Marco's? I'm ready now!

• Well, back to the thread - yes, it's probably Marco's because next to Frank Bonano, Westword loves to hype him most. It is also a classic picture of why I'm not a fan of his pies - burned to a crisp in spots and, although this pie actually has some visible toppings, most don't.

• You're off base, Lindsey. I would take Proto's, Pizza Republica, The Oven, or Parisi over Marco's any day. They use top flight ingredients (just as good or better than Marco's), the use them properly, and manage to cook tasty pizzas with an appropriate amount of toppings and unburned crust.

• The thing I see wrong with Marco's pizza are they are overrated and bland in general. Unless you call burnt to a crisp crust "flavor". And when you make 12" pies that completely lack toppings, they shouldn't cost $19.

• lo- the Marco's haters are apparently big fans of craptastic places like Pizza Slut. Guess what people? They use more ingredients at those places to cover up the inferior crust and cheese. Marco's doesn't need to do that.

• What's the deal with beating up on Marco's? They make their pizza their way, and other people make it differently...nothing wrong with that.

• only way i knew it was marcos cause she wrote about them earlier in the week. and ya, nonbeliever, you know how i feel about his pies.. they stink.. and thats the most hes ever put on a pie in his life. its as if lori walked in and he said, oh shit, she takes horrible pics, but i better put some items on this one pizza that i will send to them... that way people will see that i am the supreme master of all that topping that i survey.. insert sarcasm here..

• That CAN'T be Marcos, because there is an abundance of toppings. Unless he knew you were photographing this for publicity. Ah, that's it. If you're not Lori Midson you'll get 3 capers and one sliver of salmon and we'll call it "artisanal".
