Do you have a propensity for cooking? Does the thought of an unhinged Brit spitting and swearing at you while you cook on national TV make you grin? Well, your time is nigh. The FOX network is holding tryouts for a new reality show, Masterchef, in major cities across the U.S., and on Saturday, January 16th, casting directors are coming through Denver.

Brought to you by the producers of The Biggest Loser, the premise of Masterchef involves amateur cooks, "passionate foodies" and "ultimate dinner party host/hostesses" who will be trained and mentored by none other than celebrity manic chef Gordon Ramsay. Each applicant will have the chance to showcase one prepared dish (it has to be room temp, so leave the soufflé batter at home) and plate it at the auditions, which are hosted at The International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Colorado.

In order to qualify, you've got be over the age of 18 and not one of those professional cook/chef-types. The production company website also allows for video auditions, so if you're already trying out for another food-based reality show that day, don't fret.

Make us proud Denver!
