The new Cielito Lindo is turning out tacos, tortas and tostadas in north Denver

For those of you wondering where to grab some grub around 44th and Tejon, you're in luck. Open less than a month, Cielito Lindo, a stucco storefront at 4401 Tejon Street, is pushing Mexican eats and treats from its polished quarters tricked out with bare woods and bright tile. It looks like a joint with potential, and the menu -- enchiladas en chile pasilla, birria de res, ceviche tostadas, discada tacos, shrimp cocktail and tortas mounted with chorizo and salchicha -- goes down easy. Unfortunately, the absence of cerveza doesn't: You'll have to settle for bottled Mexican Coke (not a bad thing) and aguas frescas instead.
