Guess where I'm eating?

• Yum, I had this at the Rackhouse yesterday. A truly awesome mac & cheese. It isn't very pretty to look at, but it's mac & cheese. It's supposed to be homely. It is a pile of pasta covered in a glob of cheese sauce. If your mac & cheese stays in a nice geometric shape and looks pretty, then there is something wrong with your mac & cheese.

• Weege, your rants would have more credibility if you'd pay closer attention to your spelling ... ramaken?, farfalla? puhleez.

• It's the Rackhouse Pub, which SxPxDxCx got within seconds of my posting the pic. Carry on.

• "since when does a cool bar make a good plate? i know the business, so before you start giving me the business, pack up your knives and go.. mmm, padma.." What? Yout comments don't even make sense. First, I didn't say that being a cool bar makes for a good plate. I said that the food was good AND it's a cool bar. These are two separate ideas linked by a conjunction. Second, saying that you know the business doesn't automatically make you an authority on plating or pasta styling. It's a scoop of pasta for gods sake, not a work of art. The scoop in question is in fact a stainless steel measuring cup. I think it's fun and homey and is in keeping with the way much of the other food is served. The pasta is also a side dish, so serving it in a smallish ramekin-like vessel makes sense. Finally, pack up my knives? I didn't realize this was a cooking contest. And if it were, I wouldn't trust Padma to judge. She's dead inside and is only interested in showing off her new pants. Give me Gail any day - a woman who actually likes food.

• i never said it was disgusting. but the plating is all off. you dont put in pasta thats bigger than the plate. this would be better suited for a small dish, not an oversized ramaken. @ sonny, good pasta choice also.. @Mantonat.. i like how you say that its very good food and cool bar. since when does a cool bar make a good plate? i know the business, so before you start giving me the business, pack up your knives and go.. mmm, padma..

• I don't even think it's a bad photo. It looks like gooey cheese noodles. With some herbs. I'm not sure what qualifies that as "disgusting"...

• What a bunch of haters! You diss a dish of mac n' cheese because of a bad photo or what you perceive to be the wrong pasta choice? Here's an idea: go there and eat some and then post your comments. If you don't like it then, fair enough. And if there's anything wrong at all with pasta shape or style, it that it's not macaroni. Still, very good food and a cool bar.

• I also agree with weege. Poor pasta choice. Orechiette!!

• Aww crap, too late, it's Rackhouse for sure. There's either bleu or gorgonzola in there. And beer. Tasty, tasty mac n cheese.

• i wouldnt have used that pasta. i wouldve used farfalla instead. wouldve looked better in that dish vs long penne..
