Rise and shine at the Denver Biscuit Company

First Atomic Cowboy started serving pizza, thanks to the addition of Fat Sully's. Now it has fresh biscuits and sausage gravy (made fresh daily), along with other Southern breakfast comfort-food items, courtesy of the Denver Biscuit Company, which just opened inside the Bluebird District hangout at 3237 East Colfax Avenue.

"We kept the menu short and sweet, so that we could provide the best possible homemade food," explains Drew Shader, owner of Fat Sully's and the Denver Biscuit Company, and a native of central Florida. "We want to make the best breakfast sandwich in town." Should be no contest, since that sandwich features buttermilk fried chicken.

Right now, the Denver Biscuit Company will be serving weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m, weekdays from 4 to 11 p.m. -- but breakfast hours will soon expand to seven days a week. And watch for the biscuit bus to hit farmer's markets this spring. For more information, call 303-377-7900.
