Sauce dries up in the Denver Tech Center

• I used to work there too for 3+ years. Reasons are so numerous for its closing, I don't have the time to list. However, I will add the major reason for its closing has to do with the fact they put it in the wrong place. This concept could not make it with just lukewarm lunch biz alone. The upper manangement also decided to bring in lower paid, inexperienced and ill prepared manangement. I'm sad to see it failed, but I'm not surprised. • I used to work there. How do I explain on current job apps that one of my previous employers actually did go out of business?

• Despite its corporate roots, Sauce was a good lunch spot with very good pizza. Although I agree that eating at locally owned establishments is preferred, the ultimate judgment should be based on the quality of the food, not the ownership structure. I'd rather eat at a place like Sauce - which offered consistently excellent food - than at a sloppily-run and completely inconsistent branch of the locally-owned Heidi's Deli chain. When I worked on that end of town, I ate there occasionally and it always seemed busy. Maybe it was just a bad location for sustained business through the dinner hour. It's sad to see it go because it is unlikely that the spot will be filled with a locally-owned alternative, and also because it means more job losses.

• No loss. When a restaurant is brought to you by <b>Fox Restaurant Concepts</b>, you should not go there. Can you imagine: Z Cuisine, Duo, Rioja, Table 6, Agyll being brought to you by "XYZ <b>Concepts</b>"? Don't answer. It was a rhetorical question.
