Beer release parties, brewery birthdays and Old South Pearl's BrewGrass Festival are where it's at in food this week -- but there's plenty more for teetotalers or those who prefer wine or stronger spirits. Here's a taste of what's ahead:

Monday, June 7:

Wednesday, June 9:

Join Ashley Kumlien, who's crossing the country on foot to raise funds and awareness for fighting Multiple Sclerosis, at the Irish Snug, 1201 East Colfax Avenue, at 5:30 p.m. for a pasta dinner with salad and garlic bread, a silent auction and a slideshow of her journey so far.
