Culinary calendar for the week ahead: Summer food festivities gearing up

You know we're getting closer to summer when you can start taking day trips for food-related festivals -- like this week's Colorado BBQ Challenge and Strawberry Days -- or even just lunch trips, such as the Civic Center Eats program. All that and more is on the menu this week:

Monday, June 14:

The Kitchen [Upstairs], 1039 Pearl Street in Boulder, hosts a five-course beer dinner with craft beer pioneers Charlie Papazian and Ken Grossman, who will be on hand to celebrate thirty years of Sierra Nevada and the release of the Imperial Helles Lager.
