Flagstaff House deemed one of OpenTable's top 50 American cuisine restaurants in the country

Time to celebrate the birth of our nation by eating barbecue until we explode, blatantly ignoring open container laws and then lighting some things on fire. Or by eating good old American food in one of OpenTable's top 50 American restaurants.

The popular internet reservation site just released its annual list of the best American cuisine restaurants in the country. The honor roll, plucked from the site's 11,000 restaurants and more than five million reviews, included one lone Colorado restaurant: The Flagstaff House.

Still, the Boulder restaurant with views to a thrill finds itself in good company; Thomas Keller's pair of three-Michelin-star restaurants, per se and The French Laundry, made the list, as did Danny Meyer's Eleven Madison Park and the illustrious Gramercy Tavern in New York City. Then again, though, ten of the fifty coveted (?) spots were bafflingly allocated to various outposts of the Capital Grille, so who knows what the shout-out really means.
