Good Housekeeping has been keeping an eye on a lot of buns lately. The ladies' magazine recently voted Boulder-based Rudi's Organic Bakery's buns the hottest of them all.

Rudi's buns won out over the likes of Sara Lee and Pepperidge Farm buns in a taste test comparing eight brands of whole wheat hamburger buns. The magazine applauded not only the flavor of Rudi's buns but also their "pleasantly hearty heft." (Yes, really.)

" "Moms can feel good about choosing our buns, too, because like all of our baked goods, they are made with only the highest quality, organic ingredients. When we say 'we are baked on the bright side,' it means we use all of the good stuff and none of the bad," says Rudi's marketing vice president, Doug Radi.

The magazine adds, "Sandwiching your favorite burger in a whole wheat bun is an easy way to incorporate whole grains into your family's diet." Word.
