Pizza Street is bringing belly-o sandwiches to the 16th Street Mall
A Loveland-based pizza shop is expanding operations to Denver in the near future. Pizza Street, which serves calzones, wings, signature "belly-o" sandwiches and pizza is moving in soon at 1600 Champa Street, next to Floyd's Barber Shop.
A person identifying herself only as the owner's sister said it would be at least a month before an opening date would be pinned down, but workers are already making changes to the space. "They've been wanting to come to Denver for a while," the woman says. The restaurant has already secured a liquor license to serve alcohol on the premises.
The liquor license application lists James C. Brown and Jayne S. Brown as the managing partners.
Pizza Street's pies come in sizes ranging from ten to 16 inches and cost between $5.99 and $21.99, including toppings. The belly-o sandwiches, which are served on fresh-baked Italian bread, come in over 30 different hot and cold varieties, of which ten are vegetarian.
