• @Recession: These restaurants are targeted toward rich gubmint folk who have largely been unaffected by the recession, like the Ohbamas.

• Hey Jenny, your veganism isn't fooling anyone. Enjoy your lentils with a side of sand and pound it. Recession, I challenge you to find a restaurant with this level of quality of ingredient, preparation, technique, and service for the price. You can always be eatin' good in the neighborhood at Applebee's or check out the two for $20 at Chili's. Frozen food never tasted so good, especially with a flat Coor's Light.mmmmmm.

• Also, I agree with Jenny in that it looks like a lot of fried stuff on the menu. Are they frying corndogs, cheese, Pretzel Fried Pies, chicken schnitzel, fries, chips, oysters, Pig Ears, Chicken, cheddar curs and Funnel Cake Fried Bananas all in the same oil? 2 pools? Dedicated fryers?

• I don't want to sound like Kanye West but does the Denver restaurant industry hate non-filthy-rich people? $20 food truck lobster rolls. $40+ Kevin Taylor entrees. Scallop plates for $23 at most places. • I have never seen more unappetizing food... It looks like a bunch of fried crap and nasty meats. Funny, I thought the Denver food scene was actually progressing.

• Went there Saturday night. The oyster po' boy is the best oyster sandwich in Denver, and the best that I've had west of Louisiana. (Actually better than all except one in Louisiana, and it tied that one) Other dishes of excellence: corndog; duck leg & thigh; spaetzle & pig ears. I'll be back next week for a sausage tour...that is NOT a euphemism.

• I'm looking forward to trying this place because the food sounds great, but there's nothing "awesome about a can of Miller served in a paper bag. I thought this blog was about the great Denver food and drink scene. Why is it that crappy beer is cool along side good food, but you never see anyone drinking Ernest & Julio Gallo jug wine in similar settings and saying "awesome!"? Why not highlight some of those Colorado craft beers that will go better with the menu. There's a time and place for Miller, and it's generally on my back porch after mowing the lawn.
