Madison Street, the newest neighborhood restaurant from Larimer Associates, will open early this fall
By partnering with established Denver chefs and restaurateurs, Larimer Associates, which owns Larimer Square, has been pushing new joints not just in the Square, but in neighborhoods around the city. Each of those restaurants is strategically designed to integrate seamlessly into its surroundings, drawing on the history of the building and the neighborhood to make it seem as if the eatery has existed there forever. And at Billy's Inn, 4403 Lowell Boulevard; LoHi SteakBar, 3200 Tejon Street; and Ernie's Bar & Pizza, 2915 West 44th Avenue, that attention to detail has successfully lured in crowds of regulars, who treat the spots as their own.
Early this fall, Denver will get another neighborhood restaurant from Larimer Associates. The group is partnering with Brian Sifferman, who's also a managing partner at Corridor 44 in Larimer Square, to open Madison Street at 1200 Madison.
That restaurant will follow the design model of its siblings, with a long community table in the bar and large doors that open up to a patio, giving the space a breezy, open-air feel. Dark woods and copper accentsw will fill out the interior, and the dining room will house one large round corner booth, fitted with a marble-topped table.
Sean Kelly, chef at Ernie's Bar & Pizza and LoHi SteakBar, is consulting on the menu here, too -- with dishes like rotisserie chicken and fish tacos, as well as upscale bar classics, according to a Larimer Associates rep.
The restaurant is slated to open on September 29, but the group is still dealing with a couple of construction obstacles that may push the date back.
