Tonight: Feed Denver...with pizza from Pasquini's

Feed Denver, a local nonprofit that teaches sustainable farming methods and builds community-based urban greenhouse farms in an effort to offer fresh, local produce year-round, wants you to help swell its belly, which you can do tonight, between 4 and 9 p.m., by simply eating pizza, salads, calzones and sandwiches -- and drinking lots of wine.

Pasquini's, the Highland pizza emporium at 2400 West 32nd Avenue, is donating 20 percent of the night's attributed sales to Feed Denver, the proceeds of which will go toward funding the organization's programs, including the planting of winter crops.

And because Feed Denver wants you to get a taste of its locally grown produce, at least one of the pizzas featured tonight will come crowned with a topping straight from one of its urban gardens.
