Hungry for Change: Eat at one of these Boulder restaurants tomorrow and help seniors and veterans

If Veterans Day makes you want to support American citizens who served in a war or, uh, American citizens who lived through war eras, consider eating out.

Tomorrow, in celebration of Veterans Day, several Boulder-area restaurants are donating 15 percent of the proceeds from meals consumed to Care Connect, which works with seniors and disabled adults to help them stay in their homes, and Veterans Helping Veterans.

"We're working to change lives of veterans every day," says Maureen Ewing, executive director of Care Connect. "This is a chance to raise awareness about veterans' issues."

And all you have to do to contribute is to go out for a meal.

Participants include the Walnut Cafe, 3073 Walnut Street; The Sink, 1165 13th Street and Larkburger, 2525 Arapahoe Avenue.

For a full list and restaurant hours, check out Care Connect's events page.
