Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill hopes to open Tuesday
For those of you sick of French fries and more in the mood for Toby Keith's Freedom fries, help is on the way. Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill, 8260 Northfield Boulevard, is holding its soft opening on Tuesday, November 16, pending city approval of the fire and plumbing systems.

Located in The Shops at Northfield Stapleton, the bar, grill and live music venue named for country music star Toby Keith was waiting on a visit from the city today before stocking the restaurant and moving full steam ahead with country tunes, "Whiskey Girls" and beer in Mason jars.

The place is big enough to house every one of Keith's Ford trucks and is decked out with 50-inch flat-screen TVs at every turn, all of which are connected through Ethernet cables and can be controlled with an iPad.
A professional light and sound system will accompany live acts Tuesday through Saturday, and according to assistant general manager Sean Martin, national acts will grace the stage twice a month.

Once the joint finally opens, patrons can attempt the Rocky Mountain 100-ounce Challenge -- a 32-ounce burger with four ounces of American cheese, sixteen ounces of Toby's freedom fries, a ten-ounce bun, six ounces of fixings, and a 32-ounce beverage. Those able to stomach the bomb (and keep it down) will receive a $15 gift certificate to use on a future visit, which could get them half-off another Rocky Mountain Challenge.
Other menu selections include the Should've Been a Cowboy burger, fried bologna and deep fried Twinkies.

Just don't spend all your money in the two private rooms, the VIP room or the sponsored Coors Banquette room, because there's a gift shop (naturally) that awaits near the exit.
