Today: Art Meets Beast stampedes into MCA Denver

When Adam Lerner moved to the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, he brought with him the fabulous Mixed Taste program he'd started at Belmar, which pairs lectures on two very different topics in a delicious culture clash.

Tonight's double dip, which starts with drinks at 6 p.m. and the event at 6:30, pairs "Cave Painting & Buffalo Bill." But the fun doesn't end there: The dual discussion marks the start of the three-day Art Meets Beast, a "nose-to-tail bison roast" that will continue with tomorrow's bison butchering by Jimmy Cross of Marczyk Fine Foods, and Thursday's "Art Meat City" lecture, followed by a Beast Roast prepared by some of the city's top chefs, who'll be given different parts of the animal to cook.
