Today: El Diablo celebrates Day of the Dead

El Diablo is already full of incredible art, but the cantina at 101 Broadway got all decked out for Halloween, with giant spider webs reminiscent of what Jesse Morreale found when he took over the old First Avenue Hotel, spooky lights and hanging skulls. The partying went on all weekend -- but the fun isn't over yet.

The hot spot at 101 Broadway will be celebrating Dia de Los Muertos tonight with drink and food specials courtesy chef/partner Sean Yontz, an art show and DJ, and a silent auction of those sugar skulls decorated by tattoo artists from across Colorado. (It's billed as the second annual skull sale, even though El Diablo just opened in August -- but the event originated at the now-closed Tambien.)

All proceeds from the skulls sale, which runs from 8 to 10 p.m., will go to Mi Casa Resource Center.

El Diablo is open from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. (and after that, you can still get tacos to go until 4 a.m.) For more info, call 303-954-0324.
