Sweet Ginger Asian Bistro & Sushi opens in Cherry Creek

On Saturday, Cherry Creek unmasked its newest food temple, Sweet Ginger Asian Bistro & Sushi, at 2710 East Third Avenue in the below-street-level space that, most recently, was the stamping ground of Plush.
Owners Julie and Joe He (he's the sushi chef) used to run Jason's Thai Asian Bistro & Sushi near the University of Denver, a venture in which they're no longer involved, although Julie says that the two concepts are similar. "We're serving a lot of Thai food, which is what we did at Jason's Thai, but we also have sushi, and instead of catering mostly to students, we're trying to reach out to the business crowd and families," explains Julie.
And those who like to knock back sake. As a grand-opening special, hot sake is $1 all day, every day, from 11 a.m to 10 p.m Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
