Chefs Scott Durrah (8 Rivers), Lauren Gennett and Rachel Wolpo will offer a series of cooking demonstrations for Simply Pure, the Colorado edibles company founded by Durrah and his wife, Wanda James, at KushCon II, which runs today through December 19 at the Colorado Convention Center.

"I never would have imagined that my love of cooking and cannabis could bring so much comfort and peace to people's lives," says Durrah. He and James were our Best Medical Marijuana Advocates in the Best of Denver 2010. "We care about what our patients eat, so everything we prepare is 100 percent organic and tested for potency and purity."

Gennett kicks off the demonstrations at 5 p.m. today with Warm Winter Soup. Other demonstrations include:

7 p.m. tonight: Turkey and White Bean Chili, with Scott Durrah
9 p.m. tonight: The Perfect Nightcap: Infused Bud Brandy Snaps with Coffee Filling, with Rachel Wolpo

Saturday, December 18:

noon: Kickin' It Off Light: Black Bean and Corn Salad and Quinoa Salad, with Lauren Gennett
3 p.m.: Mastery of Meat; Part I: That's a Spicy Meatball!, with Scott Durrah
5 p.m., Traditional Treats: Infused Lemon Bars, with Rachel Wolpo

Sunday, December 19

2 p.m., Starting from Scratch: How to Make Cannabis Butter, with Scott Durrah
5 p.m., European Eats: Mediterranean Mezzo Platter (Bruschetta, Roasted Cauliflower with Lemon Zest, Capers, Parsley, Tapenade and Grilled Flatbread), with Lauren Gennett
