Stout Month comes to a close with a variety of tappings and other events at the Vine Street Pub in Denver, and the Mountain Sun and Southern Sun pubs in Boulder -- and there are plenty of other sudsy celebrations to lift your spirits as well.

Here's what's on tap for the week of February 22-28. We'll update this post with any additional events we hear of. Cheers.

Wednesday, February 23

Odell Brewing's brand-new beer, Myrcenary Double IPA, will go tap tonight at 6 p.m. exclusively at all of the Old Chicago locations in Colorado (and eight other states) as part of the restaurant chain's St. Pat's Mini-Tour, which runs through March 17. Also on tap as part of the tour: an exclusive creation from Boulder Beer called Old Chicago Bitter Leprechaun.

At 4:20 p.m., Vine Street, Southern Sun and Mountain Sun will simultaneously tap one of their big Stout Month beers. This time, it's Stoked Oak Stout, a beer so good that the guy who first homebrewed it now works for the company.

Odell Brewing, 800 East Lincoln Avenue in Fort Collins, taps a firkin of Levi-Tea, its Levity Amber Ale cask conditioned with organic yerba-mate, green sencha, and a mixed herbal blend of tea, at 4 p.m. There will also be love music from alt-country band Highway 287 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Friday, February 25

Ernie's Bar & Pizza, 2915 West 44th Avenue, hosts an official Oskar Blues G'Knight release party (the beer formerly known as Gordon) from 5 to 8 p.m.

Wynkoop Brewing Company, 1634 18th Street, presents the Beerdrinker of the Year Dinner, a four-course beer dinner hosted by the three 2011 national finalists. It starts at 6:30 p.m., and reservations are required; call 303-297-2700 or visit www.wynkoop.com.

Boulder's Avery Brewing will release is very limited Dihos Dactylion Barrel-Aged Sour Ale at a party starting at 6 p.m. at the brewery, 5763 Arapahoe Avenue. The nearly unpronounceable beer -- Avery's seventh in its barrel-aged series -- will cost $8 per twelve-ounce bottle and is limited to six bottles per person. Two hundred cases were made.

Dry Dock Brewing, 15120 East Hampden Avenue, taps a new cask-conditioned firkin every Friday at 3 p.m. This week, it's Falconer's Flight Pale Ale, which was made using a proprietary hop blend from HopUnion that incorporates several of the best known hops from the Pacific Northwest.

Saturday, February 26

Falling Rock Taphouse, 1919 Blake Street, will rip open its second -- and final -- batch of Pliny the Younger, an extremely limited-release cult beer from California's Russian River Brewing. The Pliny will be served at 1 p.m., followed by a keg of Russian River Consecration.

A bewigged-and-robed panel of experts will grill the finalists and crown the 2011 Beerdrinker of the Year at Wynkoop Brewing Company, 1634 18th Street, starting at 2 p.m. Call 303-297-2700 or visit www.wynkoop.com.

Louisville's Lucky Pie Pizza and Taphouse, 673 Front Street, is helping Oskar Blues celebrate the launch of its G'Knight beer (formerly Gordon) by serving the beer on draught and by tapping firkins of quadruple-hopped G'Knight and a French oak-aged G'Knight. Lucky Pie also features 21 taps of American craft beer and Belgian specialties. The part starts at 6 p.m.
