Culinary calendar for the week ahead: Oyster Month and Great Plates of Downtown

Denver Restaurant Week isn't the only news on the local dining scene. This week, the Mountain Sun pub group wraps up Stout Month, Jax Fish House launches Oyster Month, and there's plenty more on the culinary calendar.

Monday, February 28:

Mountain Sun Pub and Brewery, 1535 Pearl Street in Boulder, hosts the final event of Boulder Chop Month Competition: At 10 p.m. tonight, the public will get to vote on contestants' facial hair, and vie for such prizes as pork chops, cash and beer. Udi's Pizza Cafe Bar, 7600 Grandview Avenue in Arvada, is introducing Udi's Supper Club, an all-you-can-eat vegan/plant-based, family-style dinner on the last Monday of every month.
