Reader: I love local restaurants, but not on Valentine's Day

While restaurants across town are touting last-second Valentine's Day specials, some readers made their plans long ago: to stay home. Mmmmgood explains why in this response to Kyle Garratt's most recent In the Weeds rant:

I love me some restaurants and get out to as many as I can as often as I can and I NEVER go out on Valentine's Day. Normally great places with wonderful servers and service somehow transform into places I don't recognize. Do yourself a favor, grab your sweetie and spend your dining budget on a great bottle of wine and some massage oil!
