Where to find the food trucks during this weekend's The Great Food Truck Race

Say cheese!
The gourmet food trucks competing in the Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race, which, as you already know, is all the buzz in Denver right now, are finally in the Mile High City, cruising the asphalt, frantically running around getting product, taking over commissary kitchens -- The inventing Room's kitchen, for example -- and getting to know their way around around the landscape of the city. And getting the lay of the land is going to be pretty damn important this weekend, since location is everything when you need to sell a shit ton of food in order to move on to the next city and ultimately win the race -- and a $100,000 prize pot.

We've spent the last few days gathering details about the whereabouts of the trucks, and while everything to subject to the whims of the producers who don't make this whole race thing easy, we've got an updated, albeit tentative schedule of which trucks will be where -- and which local mobile food vendors they'll be shacking up with.

Roxy's Gourmet Grilled Cheese is, as we correctly predicted yesterday, aligning with Chicago Louie's, while Il Mondo Vecchio will be supplying at least some of the product. Duck prosciutto is a very good guess. Roxy's, here from Boston, hasn't nailed down a location yet, but Michel Wahaltere, who drives the Chicago Louie's paddy wagon, is soliciting nominations. The trucks are looking for a crowd-fueled stamping ground beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday. If you've got a suggestion, shoot Wahaltere a text at 203-570-2634.

On Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Seabirds, the vegan food truck from Orange County, California, will pull up to the Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market, at 46th and Tennyson, in the parking lot behind Moore Howard Chapel. It'll be joined by Basic Kneads Pizza and Deluxe Street Food's the Little Orange Rocket, along with The Cozy Bean, CakeDenver and Hula Moon, which will have a tiki lounge. And then, from 5 to 8 p.m., Seabirds is slated to skid to a stop at Sweet Action Ice Cream, 52 Broadway.

Also on Saturday, from 4:30 to 9 p.m., both the Hodge Podge truck, which hails from Cleveland, and the Lime Truck from Irvine, are skedded to park in front of Atomic Cowboy, 3237 East Colfax Avenue. The Cupcake Truck and the Denver Biscuit Bus will be in attendance, too.

Cafe con Leche, the Cuban food truck from Van Nuys, California, is, as we speculated yesterday, hanging out at Cuba Cuba, from noonish to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and Cuba Cuba's executive chef, Enrique Socarras, is making sure that there's extra incentive for hungry mouths: He's doing a porkerific pig roast. We hear, too, that there's going to be a Cuban carnival in full swing.

Stephen Daniels, who runs the Crock Spot, Rich Wong, who owns Street Eats and the Steuben's Food Truck have pledged allegiance to the Korilla BBQ truck, here from its home base of New York. A location is still being determined, but we do know that it won't be joining the Hodge Podge or Lime Truck at the Atomic Cowboy on Saturday, at least according to Doc Noe, who spearheads the Steuben's truck. Update: The Korilla BBQ truck will be outside Steuben's

NEW UPDATE: The Korilla BBQ Truck, hailing from New York, will be parked in front of Steuben's on Saturday and Sunday, from approximately 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Sunday, Cafe con Leche, the Lime Truck and, we imagine, several others, will be camped outside Great Divide Brewery, 2201 Arapahoe, from 3 to 8 p.m. Quiero Arepas, Biker Jim and Stick It to Me will all be there, too, while Great Divide pours the suds.

We'll continue to update locations and times as we get them.

From what I understand, Great Divide will be just Cafe Con Leche and some other local trucks, but not other competitors. They don't have the space for Lime and others.

Looking forward to a great weekend, Shelly!

TV cameras love dogs, and there should be TONS of dogs and people at the Furry Scurry at Wash Park this Saturday. Might be a good spot for Roxy to check out. Also, MS Walk at Wash Park.
