Ototo Food and Wine Bar opens for Sunday brunch

Ototo Food and Wine Bar, the not-so-Japanese sibling of Sushi Den and Izakaya Den, is now serving Sunday brunch. The menu features such standard brunch fare as bagels with lox and steak and eggs, as well as more innovative offerings, including duck confit. And whenever possible, every dish features ingredients -- currently rhubarb, chives, and basil -- from the Den Garden, a farm in Brighton owned by brothers Toshi and Yasu Kizaki, who are behind all three restaurants.

The Ototo brunch menu changes weekly -- but if you see the pork trotter Benedict, order it and then gobble it down before the bread gets soggy. Also available are housemade Bloody Marys and bottomless mimosas made with fresh orange juice.

Brunch is served on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., when the restaurant closes for the day.
