Denver's Del Norte Brewing, which specializes in summer-friendly Mexican-style lagers, is looking for help coming up with a Spanish-language name for its latest beer (its sixth), a Bohemian Pilsner.

"We have a few in mind, but are always up for some suggestions," the company says on its Facebook page -- which is where you can make your suggestions. Del Norte's other brews include Manana, Orale, Cinco and Luminaria.

40 Beers in 40 Days continues at the Bull & Bush as the brewpub celebrates its fortieth anniversary with beer and more beer. Tonight is Kasteel Rouge followed by Bull & Bush Bear Skin Rug tomorrow. For the full list, check out their website.

Firestone Walker debuts in Colorado with an event at the Falling Rock Taphouse from 5 to 7 p.m. The beers are TBA. The vaunted California brewery has had some problems getting their ducks in a row. In what appears to be for beery political purposes, they have spread out their launch over several days and several beer bars, with most of the Denver events taking place tomorrow. But for today, at least, Firestone Walker co-founder David Walker is scheduled to be at the taphouse to party with Falling Rock owner Chris Black. Firestone Walker's beers are really good, though, so its arrival will be worth the wait.

Friday, July 22

The Summer Brew Fest at Mile High Station, 2027 West Lower Colfax Avenue, will pour more than one hundred beers from at least forty breweries. In addition to live music from Bop Skizzum and the Flobots' Andy Guerrero, there will be food, a live auction and other vendors. General admission tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of; VIP tix, which allow you an extra hour of drinking before the masses arrive, cost $40 and $45. The fest, which benefits Swallow Hill Music Association, starts at 7 p.m. (or 6 for VIPers), and lasts until 10.

Tonight, the Wynkoop Brewing Company will tap a cask of Big E's B3Koconut, the brewpub's schwarzbier spiked with toasted coconut. It was created by Wynkoop brewing team member Eric Erman and is part of the Wynkoop's long-running firkin Friday program.

Join Fort Collins Brewery's Paul Nissen, an Iowa native who went to brewing school in Sunderland, England, as he introduces his latest beer, Imperial India Wheat Ale, which will be available today in bomber bottles in select markets. The beer is part of the brewery's Incredible Hop series and this is the third installment in the four-part "Know Your Brewer" Incredible Hop Series. The beer is a cross between a double-IPA and an American wheat. The free event takes place in the brewery's tap room from 3 to 7 p.m.

Vaunted California brewery Firestone Walker will -- most likely -- make its Colorado debut tonight from 6 to 10 p.m. in an unusual and mostly democratic way. Four different taphouses will each be serving one beer, while a fifth will get all five brews: Falling Rock Taphouse, 1919 Blake Street, will have the brewery's flagship Double Barrel Ale; Uptown Brothers, 320 East Colfax Avenue, gets the multiple-award winning Union Jack IPA; Cheeky Monk Belgian Café, 534 East Colfax Avenue, pours Firestone's first ever Imperial IPA, Double Jack; Euclid Hall, 1317 14th Street, taps the warm-weather seasonal, Solace; and Freshcraft, 1530 Blake Street, scored all of the above, along with Firestone's just-released 14th Anniversary Ale. The brewery had planned to begin serving its beer in Colorado last month until a licensing glitch held them up. Keeps tabs on Firestone's Facebook page, though, because any or all of these events could change.

Dry Dock Brewing in Aurora will tap a cask of Challenger dry-hopped ESB today at 3 p.m. as part of its weekly Firkin Friday.

Saturday, June 23

Kyle's Brew Fest kicks off today at 2 p.m. at Boulder Beer Company, 2880 Wilderness Place in Boulder, and the second annual charity event and concert is bigger than last year. Founded by Kyle Hollingsworth, songwriter and keyboardist for the String Cheese Incident, the fest features more than 25 breweries serving twice that many beers, including Hoopla, the beer that Hollingsworth and the brewers at Boulder Beer created together (Hollingsworth is a home brewer and frequently performs in breweries). In addition to the beers, there will be grilled food, a silent auction and a performance by the Kyle Hollingsworth Band. Tickets are $25 and available at www.kylehollingsworth.com; proceeds benefit the Conscious Alliance charity.

Boulder's West End Tavern, 926 Pearl Street, welcomes Firestone Walker Brewing today from 7 to 9 p.m. by pouring DBA, Union Jack, Double Jack and Summer Solace.
