Ralph's Maid-Rite finally lets the loose-meat sandwich loose on Denver

• I'm a former Iowan and I ate at the Maid-Rite in Iowa and really liked this one that Ralph opened. The tenderloins were outstanding. I'm so disappointed that they have closed as there is nowhere else to get this great food. Sue

• I grew up on Maid Rite sandwiches in Iowa and was thrilled that Denver was now going to open a restaurant.  Could not wait to get my mouth on a pork tenderloin sandwich. Then..... I experienced one of the worse services ever.  The owner took my order and I waited a good ten minutes for him to come back and tell me they were out.  I’m highly upset now because I had a group of 4-5 year olds with me that where very hungry and un-patient. I re-ordered and Mr. Dewey could not get the order straight.  He apologized and provided me one free tenderloin sandwich on the next visit. He could have thrown in some fountain drinks for the hour wait for some fast food for the kidos.  I’m into giving second chances or experiences. So this past weekend I decided to turn in my free tenderloin sandwich. O'boy was that another mistake. My sister was with me and we had two separate orders (meaning two separate checks with two separate order numbers). They put our entire order together for us to separate.  We separated the order in the store to assure it was accurate because we live in Aurora and it’s a 30 minute drive and I refuse to drive all the way back to discover an incorrect order. Guess what happened next.... You guessed it.. my order was incorrect.  All I ordered was a tenderloin sandwich minus the ketchup and an order of onion rings.  Sounds pretty simple to me! I advise him and next thing he’s upset with me and storms to the back to get the ingredients that go on my sandwich. I think I should be the one upset. I just stood there in disbelief.  I will NEVER EVER go to this store nor recommend it. Some advise, if you own a store that serves to the public you should have people skills. Take it or leave it. Its only advice!!!  Is the store in Aurora open up yet?

• yeah finally one here in Colorado.  Grew up eating Maid Rites, and now i don't have to travel back to Iowa for one.  Will be there Monday.

• It is a loose meat sandwich.  It will fall out.  As a fellow Iowan people read the menu before you order something.  I thought they were awesome would highly recommend it.

• I do believe this is the the worst food i have ever tasted. Its to over priced even for a child's  meal. I had a loose meat for a child's meal and my daughter was not able to keep everything together even with the paper that is wrapped around the sandwich. I will never go there again.. Had a bad experience and to also hear the owner yelling at this employees. The work ethic of this employer is not in good standings with me or with my family.

• As former Iowans, we were thrilled to hear on the radio about this special place. We went last night with our granddaughter and boy was it as good as we remembered. The only thing we missed was the cheese sauce instead of just a slice of cheese. Can't wait till we have a maid-rite in Aurora.
