Three Lions now serving beer -- and soccer fans

Jon Forget, the general manager of the British Bulldog, and Mark Berzins, owner of the Little Pub Company, which comprises nineteen joints in and around Denver, including the Bulldog, just opened Three Lions in the former Bank Bar & Grill at 2239 East Colfax Avenue.

Three Lions is billing itself as a world football pub, and features zones where multiple games are shown on several TVs, an English-style "public bar" games area, and full lounge dining areas. Here's a first look at the new pub:

By the way, the Bulldog has a new look, too, which it revealed Monday after a one-week renovation.

$7 for a Fuller's London Pride at 3L! I think this may be the first time, a bar has broken a $6 threshold for a pint of draft beer. Pretty soon, someone will do a $8 pint, in the name of HDTV, frat bar or a firkin.

Jon did a terrific job with 3 Lions. Re: hand drawn ales, 3L has 4 hand engines and Bulldog has 2. Pints Pub has 2 as well.

Too bad about the crappy food, terrible service, and crazy prices.

Do any of the English pubs in Denver have hand drawn ales?

Pint's Pub does. Falling Rock usually has a couple. Some of the brewpubs and specialty bars are doing firkin Fridays (or other days of the week) - Wyncoop, Hops n Pie, Dry Dock, to name a few.
