Today, the Denver FilmCenter launches FilmFeast, a new annual festival celebrating food and film -- and between Westword's own Dish event and potato, green chile and local-food festivals happening this weekend, we've got you covered with all kinds of culinary events. Here's a taste of what's ahead:

Monday, September 6:

Denver Film Center, 2510 East Colfax Avenue, presents FilmFeast, a new annual film series catering to foodies; each screening includes tastings from local restaurants. This week: El Bulli: Cooking in Progress. It starts at 7 p.m.; call 303-595-3456 or visit www.denverfilm.org.

Cook Street School of Fine Cooking, 1937 Market Street, hosts a Wine and Food Pairing Seminar from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.; admission is $59. Call 303-308-9300 or visit www.cookstreet.com.

Thanks for the mention! Unfortunately, tonight's screening of El Bulli won't have a tasting after all. But it'll still be awesome—the film's gorgeous. And next week's screening of I Like Killing Flies will indeed have a tasting from Steuben's Brandon Biederman!
