Did Oklahoma City's Tucker's Onion Burgers steal the Steuben's logo?

An Oklahoma City restaurant slated to open its doors this week will feature gourmet onion burgers, "vintage modern decor" (according to EatAroundOKC) -- and, as pointed out by the Oklahoma City Egotist, a logo that looks like it was blatantly ripped off from one of this city's busiest restaurants: Steuben's.

Tucker's, which opens tomorrow, defended itself by telling the Egotist that Korn Design, the designer of the Steuben's logo, "pulled from the same inspiration our designer did: vintage signs/ads & vintage autos."

Steuben's is keeping mum on the issue for now and hasn't indicated what, if any action, it might take. "We're looking into it," says Josh Wolkon, the owner of the five-year-old spot, as well as Vesta Dipping Grill in LoDo.

If anything develops, we'll keep you posted.

Awww, just let this one go without a lawsuit. This restaurant already has to deal with operating in the backwater hell-hole that is Oklahoma City, isn't that punishment enough?

No design shop made the tuckers logo, it was "designed" by someone in-house at the dinning group who owns tuckers.

So, i thought maybe Tucker's could have been an innocent victim; that is that they bought their logo from the same design firm who sold it twice or a firm that ripped off Steuben's.  But clearly they know what is going on (based on that comment).  it is clearly ripped off and Stueben's (and Korn especially) should sue. They probably thought they could take it and no one would bother to sue over it.

You know, that "secret recipe" where they mix a packet of dried french onion soup in with the burger before cooking.  It's the classy and continental way of jazzing up your burgers, says Sandra Lee.

You should do more research.  An onion burger has NOTHING to do with dried onion soup mix OR Sandra Lee. Laughable.

You have got to be kidding!?!Same company did both logo's? What a joke. If I was Steuben's I'd be pissed.

I should clarify -- The same company didn't do both logos. Korn Design did the one for Steuben's; another shop did Tucker's.
