Linger and Root Down hosting a yard sale this weekend for a good cause

There are few restaurants in Denver that stack up to Root Down and Linger, at least in terms of style and design, and we imagine that the staff of both restaurants have scads of pretty cool stuff lying around their abodes, too, some of which they're selling for a good cause this weekend at the Root Down/Linger yard sale.

"The yard sale allows our motley crew of Root Down and Linger to purge the want nots and need nots from their lives and earn a little extra cash, while also raising money for a local battered women and children shelter," says Root Down/Linger exec chef and owner Justin Cucci. "I mean, who wouldn't want a single sock I bought on eBay for thirty cents?"

The yard sale will take place in the parking lot behind Linger with twenty different vendors on hand, all hustling their stuff at bargain-basement prices. "Seriously, our staff is insanely talented, so while I'll be selling from my collection -- mid-century modern stuff that couldn't fit at the restaurants and reclaimed finds -- they'll be selling bad-ass art, jewelry and more," promises Cucci.

The negotiating begins at 10 a.m. and continues through 3 p.m. And, as an added bonus, if you show up, you can also win a gift certificate to Linger or Root Down.
